My name is Cathryn Parent, but the kids call me Ms. Cat. I grew up in Albuquerque, NM and moved to Illinois in 2015. I have my Master’s Degree in Special Education with a concentration in multiple and severe disabilities along with qualifications in early childhood education as well as an endorsement to teacher English as a New Language. My personal belief in education is that the child should always come first. I work towards creating a classroom grounded in individualization while supporting and maintaining a strong sense of community.
